Grandma and Papa Kimble came out here to visit for a week in August and watched McKayla everyday since her sitter was in Hawaii. They took her to the Children's museum, Wheeler Farm, Park City and Heritage Park. McKayla also enjoyed playing at the Coulam cabin up by Brighton. Here are some cute photos of her visit with Grandma and Papa.
Thomas the Train came to the Heber Valley Railroad and for some reason McKayla is big into trains. We think its from us living by train track so we hear trains all the time.
Yet she always has the same reaction every time. "A Train," she says in a very loud voice and the biggest smile on her face. We also often see train on our daily drive to and from work. She always is looking for them and usually gets upset if we don't see at least one.
So when I saw that Thomas the Train tour was coming to Utah I couldn't resist getting ticket for us to go. But on the day of the ride it was cold and rainy but she still had lots of fun and can't wait to go again.
Derek's friend was getting married in Flagstaff so we made a little vacation out of going to the wedding. This was one of the first times driving there since she was a baby. Before she turned two McKayla and I would fly alot less stress on daddy. But now that we have to buy her a ticket she will learn to drive with us. She did great thanks to having a dvd player in our car and many many movies. We even bought new ones while there because daddy got tired of her other one.
While we were there we went to visit Great Grandma out on the reservation. We got to see the house grandma grew up in and lots of sheep and goats. McKayla even got to pet some of the baby ones. She thought they were funny. However she was a little nervous of Great Grandma and the only way she would finally shaker her hand was by getting money. She does like money.
We also went hunting for petrified wood and found tons. it was really cool there were so many that we wanted to bring back but they were to big to lift. So we want to make another trip down with the truck to bring some of the big ones back. By the time we were done the whole back of our Tahoe was full of petrified wood.
Daryl, Rebecca, and Zach even came up to visit well we were there. They all watched McKayla while we went to the wedding and the reception. The weekend we so much fun.
At the last motorcycle race McKayla tried out a little quad (just sitting on it). So of course what else could mommy and daddy get her for her second birthday than a pink Barbie quad. Well needless to say she pick up riding over the weekend.
She now is a pro at riding and is always trying to make it go faster. She tries jumping on the peddle to get it to go. it funny watch her do this. Every time she is riding she has the biggest smile on her face and if she isn't riding always asked my bike please. Especially her dad's new motorcycle. She always love riding with him around the block and man does she smile as squeal about it.
So I think she defiantly is going to want to always ride like her dad. She even can start racing as the age of 4. But she first need to learn to ride a regular bike first. Well will just have to wait and see what she want to do when she is older.
Spring is here and we get to start our walks to visit the horses that live at the end of street. McKayla loves to go and see them and feed them. But still not to sure of actually petting them. She always says she wants to but won't when we are there.
We also sometime get to play with the little kids who also live sown by the horses. They have lots of outdoor toys and a cool swing set that McKayla love to play on. They are about her age and were friendly.
Well we had a little accident the night before easter. McKayla fell in the kitchen and bite her lip and hit her teeth. So needless to say we didn't go to church on easter but we did go visit Kerry, Rob and Marissa for a easter egg hunt.
McKayla had lots of fun trying to find the eggs so we kept hiding them several times. We didn't have our acts together this year to get plastic eggs so we hide the hard boiled one. She only managed to break about have of them slamming them back in the egg carton.
After a while we hand to hide something else because she was breaking to many eggs. So we started to hide money and her thought that was fun. We probably hide it like 5 or 6 times.
Derek and Daryl waiting to start the race. Well there was a lot of people at the race, it wasn't as hot this year. Derek took 15th and Daryl didn't have good luck with either bike and didn't finish. McKayla enjoyed cheering her dad on and playing with the rocks.
Check out McKayla she is almost ready to start riding by herself. She was testing out the little girls bike in the truck next to us. She even figured out who to make it start.
Just playing around in the hotel with mommy. We had a great time in Havasu at the hotel and at the race. McKayla had a blast swimming and thought she didn't need mommy holding her. She really wants to swim by herself, but she'll have to wait a little while for that.
Well I like drive the boat with my daddy. It was a pretty wind the day we took the boat out, but we still had fun. Derek, Marissa and Zach all got in the water to try wake board, but the water was way too cold. McKayla still wanted to get in even though it was cold. Every time we would asker do you want to get in the water or wake board, she would respone "Yeh, Yeh." So we just let her stick her feet, which she thought was fun. Well over all we had a great day out on the boat, and McKayla even managed to take a nap. So check out some more pictures below.
Check out my nail!! I had to get them painted just like Kylee and Sammy did. Her sister said she came over and sat on her lap after she had painted Kylee's and said "Me Me". So she painted McKayla's as well, she even managed to sit real still the whole time. Yes this is the first time McKayla has had her nails painted and they sure do look very cute. However they have only lasted the weekend before she has chipped them all off playing with things.
Well I really like helping mommy and daddy out with anything they are doing. I love helping put laundry in the washer and dryer, but always just one piece at a time. I even like throwing things in the trash or emptying the dishwasher. Well pretty much anything I can do, I want to help with.
I especially like helping daddy with all his tools. Sometimes I get in the way, but I really like to help. I can measure things, use a screw diver, and I like hammers.
Yes McKayla has really been a big helper lately. She is willing to help with anything we ask her to do, most of the time. It's just crazy how fast she has grown up.
Getting ready to race in Mesquite. Derek came in 27th and Daryl 12th. We had a great time at both at the race and in Vegas. McKayla even met some new friends, one of them was with the factory Suzuki team. She definitely needs to keep him as a friend. Anyway we now look forward to the race next month in Lake Havasu.
"Just playing in the dirt waiting for daddy to race. I love watching the race and playing on daddy's bike. Maybe mommy and daddy will even get me one?" Well McKayla really seems to like all the dirt bikes, especially the little ones her size. Every time we saw one she wanted to run over and get on. So maybe she'll race like her dad some day?
Check out my Mohawk, it's just like daddy's. If you ask McKayla if she wants her hair cut like daddy's her answer is always "Yes". When she is asked to help put daddy's razor away she always tries to put it to her head. I just say no that is just for daddy.
Well we are getting ready to go to Mesquite, NV this weekend for the race. Derek and Daryl are going to be racing in the 30+ class. Mckayla can't wait to ride on a bike of her own. She even has racing gear of her own, a new pink and black Thor outfit.
She was so excited to get her new Thor outfit last night. She just kept swinging it around and when we would try to put it on she would say "No, mine". It was too cute. And of course she had to wear daddy's new gloves as well.
We recently took a trip to Phoenix for Thanksgiving and went to a family barbecue. Here McKayla got to see some of her cousins and she had a blast. Her cousin Andrew (who she is holding his hand) is just a month older than her and a little bigger and better and climbing the stairs. However, then hit it off good until McKayla was being to bossy and pulling him around and then he didn't like her any more. She was just being a typical girl.
