Chrismas Pictures

So this year I decided to ask my friend Amber Ahlberg to take McKayla's pictures out at Gardner Village. However, I for course waiting until the last minute and it was a little colder than I would have liked it. But needless to say the pictures turned out so cute and it was hard to decided which one to use for our Christmas card. Here are a few of my favorites.

Thanksgiving 2008

Well I know this is kinda late but I wanted to share some of these cute photos. Anyway we went to Phoenix for Thanksgiving and had a lot of fun with family. This year McKayla really liked to help make all the food. She helped make the punch, roles, stuffing, and breakfast the next morning. She also enjoyed playing with her Uncle Daryl and cousins. So here are a few photos of our fun.

Winter Fun 2008

We recently has some new snow and decided to check it out. McKayla finally likes the snow this year, and we even went outside twice. She had fun running, trying to make snowballs and playing with her bubble toy in the snow. Now we just need a sled so we can have even more fun. Here is a little video of our fun.

Wee Witches Weekend Dancing

We went to wee witches weekend at Gardner Village and McKayla really enjoyed all the witches. She also really got into the music. Check out her dancing moves.

Halloween Fun

Well this year McKayla was a butterfly and she was as cute as can be. When we first asked her what she wanted to be, she simply replied ahh shoe. So when she changed her mind and wanted to be a butterfly I was relived since I wasn't sure how I'd make her a shoe costume. Anyway we had fun this year painting pumpkins we picked, making Halloween cupcakes and trick or treating at Wells Fargo with Aunt Kerry. So here are a few photos of from all our fun.

My first Hair Cut

Well my hair is finally long enough to get it trimmed. Yes we took McKayla to get her bangs cut and have the rest just cleaned up. We have waited so long for her hair to really start growing and I think it finally is. Her hair is still by no means long, but a lot longer than a few months back.

Every time we go get her dad's hair cut she always pipes in "Me haircut, Me haircut too!!" It's so cute and I always ok we will but not here they only cute boys hair. So I took her to the same place that Sammy and Kylee get their hair cut (the two little girls from her sitters) the Style Setters and her name was Amanda.

McKayla sat very well, but did get a little squirmy towards the end and wanted mommy to hold her. But we had prepped her by telling her if she sat still and was good she'd get candy. And she didn't forget that part as soon as she finished she goes "candy please!" with a big smile on her face.

Well all and all it turned out good and we can't wait to go back. Hopefully her hair start growing more so we can pull it up and go back for more haircuts.

Little Miss Copy Cat

Well McKayla is growing up more and more every day. She now tries to repeat back anything you say. Sometimes its good and the others I wish she wouldn't. So we are really having to watch what we say around her and what we have on time.

She has learned so many new words and is a little chatter box these days. It seems that she is always trying to say something or tell us something funny. She mostly talks about all her babies, which pretty much anything is a baby to her. Even her sippy cup is a bay sometime and she has to hold it because the baby is crying. Its pretty funny to watch as she carries them all around the house.

She also like to chat about riding on daddy's bike and what everyone is doing. She often will pretend to call people, especial her Aunt Kerry and tell them what she is doing. She even like to pretend to call her dad and tell him that mommy is mean. It's hard not to laugh watching her play these games around the house or on our daily drives to and from work.

Well stay turned for more new thing from our little copy cat.

Fun With Grandma and Papa

Grandma and Papa Kimble came out here to visit for a week in August and watched McKayla everyday since her sitter was in Hawaii. They took her to the Children's museum, Wheeler Farm, Park City and Heritage Park. McKayla also enjoyed playing at the Coulam cabin up by Brighton. Here are some cute photos of her visit with Grandma and Papa.

Thomas The Train Ride

Thomas the Train came to the Heber Valley Railroad and for some reason McKayla is big into trains. We think its from us living by train track so we hear trains all the time.

Yet she always has the same reaction every time. "A Train," she says in a very loud voice and the biggest smile on her face. We also often see train on our daily drive to and from work. She always is looking for them and usually gets upset if we don't see at least one.

So when I saw that Thomas the Train tour was coming to Utah I couldn't resist getting ticket for us to go. But on the day of the ride it was cold and rainy but she still had lots of fun and can't wait to go again.

Visit to Arizona

Derek's friend was getting married in Flagstaff so we made a little vacation out of going to the wedding. This was one of the first times driving there since she was a baby. Before she turned two McKayla and I would fly alot less stress on daddy. But now that we have to buy her a ticket she will learn to drive with us. She did great thanks to having a dvd player in our car and many many movies. We even bought new ones while there because daddy got tired of her other one.

While we were there we went to visit Great Grandma out on the reservation. We got to see the house grandma grew up in and lots of sheep and goats. McKayla even got to pet some of the baby ones. She thought they were funny. However she was a little nervous of Great Grandma and the only way she would finally shaker her hand was by getting money. She does like money.

We also went hunting for petrified wood and found tons. it was really cool there were so many that we wanted to bring back but they were to big to lift. So we want to make another trip down with the truck to bring some of the big ones back. By the time we were done the whole back of our Tahoe was full of petrified wood.

Daryl, Rebecca, and Zach even came up to visit well we were there. They all watched McKayla while we went to the wedding and the reception. The weekend we so much fun.
